We're excited to announce that we'll be opening our *NEW* Day Care and Home Boarding Centre in Althorne, in January 2026. We're working closely with the council to achieve our Dog Day Care and Home Boarding license, and will be inspected in the new year.

Our new Day Care Setting is AMAZING! Think acres of enclosed fields to explore, a woodland area, a purpose built indoor area for those colder days and to rest and relax, optional use of our heated swimming pool for dogs in the spring/summer months, plus everything Dengie Bark Park has to offer in terms of enrichment and activities. Don't worry, Dengie Bark Park will remain open as usual :-)
Home from Home Dog Boarding with Day Care Access
We'll also be offering Home Boarding with Day Care access, so let us know if you'd like your dog to join us for a holiday in 2026 and beyond.

What will Dengie K9-5 Day Care for Dogs look like?
Here's our plan ...
- we'll offer a safe and enriching day care service to dogs in the local area between 9am-5pm (early and late drop off/pick ups will also be available)
- we'll offer an optional collection/drop off service
- we'll be fully insured, and our team will be made up of qualified and experienced dog-loving individuals
- we'll work with the local council to achieve our license before opening
- your dog(s) will have plenty of space to explore at Dengie K9-5 - an enclosed exercise field, woodland area, and all weather play area for those wetter days
- there will be plenty of opportunities for your dog(s) to socialise, play, exercise, train and rest (we understand rest is also key to a happy dog(s)!)
- we'll ensure each dog has 121 time with our team throughout the day
- there will be dedicated zones at Dengie K9-5 for enrichment, socialising, and rest PLUS opportunities for training

- we'll also be offering Dog Home from Home Boarding at our new site, which will be fully licensed by Maldon District Council
